On may 10th, 2023, SIOETC international ocean engineering training center obtained the training certification of Escape Chute Training(ECT), and officially became the only educational institution in China that obtained the international certification of OPITO to provide emergency evacuation system training for ocean engineering ECT. (course code: 5700).
Brief introduction of ECT emergency evacuation system course
ECT means that in an emergency, the main means of evacuation from offshore installations or ships is usually through helicopters, offshore transfer, passages between installations or lifeboats, depending on availability and situation. When the evacuation arrangement fails, provide evacuation means as backup. The escape device which can descend directly to the sea level can include fixed ladders, retractable ladders, stairs, life raft hatches and personal descent match.
